Things I Like Thursday- Episode 2

Things I Like Thursday is a weekly link up. I share some cool stuff I found on the internet this week, and ask you to do the same. You can do a round up, like this post, or link directly to a great post, cool video, pin on pinterest, whatever. Keep it (mostly) clean and have fun!

Least Helpful is a blog written by the guy who also runs Literally Unbelievable. This blog focuses on the least helpful Amazon.com reviews ever written. Like this one:

Now, I fully believe that some of these are trolls. But, as in the one above, I believe that a lot of these "reviews" are truly the opinions of nutjobs out there. Because, really, ANYBODY can use the internet.

Teenagers Are Ridiculous is written by an anonymous high school English teacher, just basically transcribing conversations had with her high school students. Sometimes she puts up parts of their essays and papers, and that's even funnier somehow. Here's one of my favorite posts (and this is a good example of what I personally refer to as "Multi-Layered Ridiculousness"):

See? R-I-DICULOUS. And awesomely funny for us, right?

Anyway. Lastly, I want you all to go over and check out the conversation happening on Jolene Perry's blog about content in YA novels. Jolene is a very talented writer, and quickly becoming a great blogging/twitter buddy of mine, and think she makes some excellent points (especially considering we both are part of a fairly conservative religion, and this subject can get pretty dicey at times!)

So, that's it folks. Those are the Things I Like this week. What did you find out there on the internet that you want to share? Link up below:

  3. I love this idea of Things I like Thursday. I may have to be a copycat. Also, I have also read some from Teenagers are Ridiculous in the past and it is fantabulous. I am so sad you are moving soon, because I wish I knew you better!

  5. I like Jolene's opinions on that blog post. It's amazing how openness can be frowned upon, but it's one of the things I love about our friendship. You could not find two more different people on paper - but our desire to learn and understand about humanity allows us to find common ground, and explore concepts that may be uncomfortable.
